saving files from IE

When saving a file from the web, IE does not default back to the last save location. Is this a bug or function? I am also finding the new save as dialog has a very cluttered feeling. The old IE save as dialog was much cleaner and less cluttered thus less confusing.
just my 2 cents.

Strange... I still get the old-style Save As dialog box, and it does remember where I last saved a file. This is IE 7 beta 2 and Vista beta 2. Are you using something different? (I'm assuming you're talking about using File > Save As to save page).

Turn UAC off, reboot, and IE will then remember the folder you used the last time you saved a file. Then, if you only use that file (like "Downloads" for example) you may turn UAC back on.
And I think you should send feedback about this also. I appreciate the efforts of what UAC is trying to do, but sometimes it is too intrusive.
